Drop-In MIndfulness Meditation -
  • Do you find that practicing meditation with others feels easier than on your own?
  • Is it challenging to keep up the momentum of home practice, even though you want to do it?
  • Have you been interested in learning more about mindfulness and find that YouTube only gets you so far?
Maybe this offering is just what you're looking for.  A once a month, drop-in session is a great way to learn about and experience mindfulness practice.  Practicing in community can strengthen and encourage a new or established meditation practice.
Enliven your intention to integrate awareness, care and interest into daily life with the support of a friendly group.  Relying on the foundation of mindfulness-based stress reduction, there will be practice, discussion and reflection woven throughout the 60 minutes.  Free with donations accepted.

A Taste of Mindfulness

About the Taste of Mindfulness
If you have ever wondered what mindfulness is and what it isn't, this event is for you.  In sessions tailored to your group's interests, you will experience a number of meditative practices and yoga.  You will see how mindfulness can be incorporated into daily living - and learn that meditation is not done only while sitting on a cushion.  This is for everyone who wants to learn about ancient practices that can help relieve stress in our modern world.

Your  business, organization, class, club, scout troop, charity board, circle, or committee might be interested in simple, effective ways to meet everyday stress.  Enjoy an interactive MAP Center presentation that is specially designed to introduce mindfulness to your group.
